Abstract
Objective:To analyze the causes and management of rupture of posterior capsule in the phacoemulsification for cataracts.Methods:Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation were performed on 182 patients(190eyes) between 2009 years 1~12 minths.The reason and treatment of posterior capsule rupture were analyzed.Results:Posterior capsule rupture occurred in 11 eyes(5.8%)during the operation.postoperatrat ive follow up for 4 eyes were 6~12 months.Final acuity of 0.5~ 1.2 was obtained in 8 eyes(72.7%),lower than 0.5 was obtained in 4 eye(36.3%).Conclusion:Rupture of posterior capsule is closely ralated to the conditions of patients as well as the experience and skill of operators.To raise our skill,identify early and correct management of that are important for clinical prognosis.
