Curative Effect of Clomipramine with Risperidone on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Objective To investigate the synergistic action of risperidone and clomipramine on obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD).Methods 4 patients with OCD were treated by risperidone combining with clomipramine and 25 patients were treated by clomipramine for 8 weeks.The curative efficacy was measured with Yale-Brown obsessive compulsive scale(Y-BOCS),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA) and Hamilton depression scale(HAMD).Results After 8 weeks,there were significant differences in overall response showed by the reduction rate of Y-BOCS total scores,but not in HAMA and HAMD total scores between both groups.Conclusion Risperidone has additive effect on curative effects of clomipramine on OCD.
