Abstract
Investigations on butterflies in southwest mountain area in Zhejiang demonstrated that there has 169 species of 10 families, among which 19 Papilionidae, 3 Amathusiidae, 12 Pieridae, 30 Satyridae, 54 Nymphalidae, 25 Hesperiidae, 22 Lycaenidae, 1 Acraeidae, 2 Riodinidae, 1 Danaidae. There are five new records in Zhejiang and one of them needs to be named, and four types are under the state protection.
