HPV subtypes distribution and infection in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and invasive cervical cancer in Guizhou province

Abstract

Objective To study the distribution of human papillomavirus(HPV) subtypes infection in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) and invasive cervical cancer in Guizhou province.Methods HPV subtypes in 30 patients with CIN(CIN group),33 patients with invasive cervical cancer(cervical cancer group)and 60 cervical screening women(control group) were examined by DNA flow-through hybridization gene chip technique.Results The positive rate of HPV was 43.44%(13/30) in CIN group,7 HPV subtypes were detected,the most frequent type were HPV16(23.33%),and HPV31(6.67%) and 52(6.67%).In cervical cancer group,the positive rate of HPV were 57.58%(19/33),5 HPV subtypes were detected,the most frequent type were HPV16(33.33%,11/33),53(12.12%,4/33),58(9.09%,3/33).In control group,the positive rate of HPV was 8.33%(5/60).In CIN and invasive cervical cancer,the HPV infective rates were higher than contol group(P0.05).Conclusion The relationship between HPV infection and CIN and invasive cervical carcinoma are closed in Guizhou.HPV 16 is the most frequent type.
