Abstract
Objective:To study the association between HPV infection and cervical cancer and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN).Methods:PCR and multiplex PCR were used to test infectious frequency and type distribution of HPV in 40 normal cervical tissues,45 CIN tissues and 75 cervical cancer tissues.Results:The positive rates of HPV was 52.5%,HPV positive rates increased with the seriousness of cervical lesions (χ2 trend=59 811,P0 01).HPV positive rates have nocorrelation with clinical stage and histological grade of cervical cancer (P0 05).The positive rates of HPV 16 in cervical cancer,CIN and normal cervix were 61.3%,26.7% and 2.5%,respectively (P0 01).The positive rates of HPV 18,HPV 31 and HPV 33 in cervical cancer were no significant difference compared with CIN (P0 05).Conclusion:HPV infection plays a central role in the development of cervical cancer,of which HPV 16 are closely associated with cervical cancer.HPV infection has nocorrelation with clinical stage and histological grade of cervical cancer.
