Clinical observation of Shensong Yangxin Capsule in treating senile diabetic arrhythmia

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Shensong Yangxin Capsule on treating senile diabetic arrhythmia.Methods Elderly diabetic patients with arrhythmia were randomly divided into treatment group,which were treated by Shensong Yangxin Capsule,3 pills,thrice a day,and control group,which were treated by propafenone 100 mg,thrice a day.60 cases were in each group.The course of treatment was 8 weeks.The efficacy of 2 groups was observed.And fasting plasma glucose (FPG),postprandial 2 h plasma glucose (2 hPG) and HbAlc before and after treatment were compared.Results The clinical efficacy of treating arrhythmia was similar between two groups.There was no significant difference between before and after treatment on FPG,2 hPG and HbAlc in two groups (P0.05).Conclusions Shensong Yangxin Capsule has definite effect on senile diabetic arrhythmia.And its adverse reactions were few and mild.
