Abstract

Objective The aim was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of methylprednisolone sequential therapy in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).Methods 22 cases of ITP in the treatment group were given methyl- prednisolone sequential therapy, whereas 19 cases of ITP in the control group were given dexamethasone/prednisone, then the clinical efficacy and security were compared between two groups.Result The total efficiency in the treatment group was 87% and it was 72% in the contral group. There was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).The time during which the platelet was the lowest in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group, and the platelet increased time was shorter too (P<0.05).The times of being introduced platelet in the treatment group was less than that in the control group(P<0.05).Pre-and post-therapy,the decreased level of serum PAIgG in the treatment group was larger than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conelusion The effective of methylprednisolone sequential therapy ITP was fast and sustained while the side effect was limited.
