Abstract

Objective:To invegtigate the expression of survivin in non-small cell lung cancer and its relationship to clinicopathological features. Methods: The expression of survivin was detected by immunohistochemical SP technique in cancerous tissue and paraneoplastic tissue in 30 cases of lung cancer. Results: The positive rate of expression of survivin was 76.7% in lung cancer,O in Paraneoplastic tissue. The positive expression of survivin in lung cancer was not related to sex, age,Smoking, size of tumor, typing and grading, lymphnode metastasis and TNM stages. Conclusion: The abnormal expressed survivin gene may play an important role in the genesis and development of lung cancer and offer new target to early digsnosis and gene therapy.
