Nursing of patient with pleural effusion treated with three cavity catheter

Abstract
The authors introduced the nursing of patient with pleural effusion treated with three cavity catheter. Seventy-seven patients with pleural effusion were treated with thoracic seal drainage and thoracic cleansing as well as injection. They argued:(1) thoracic seal drainage by three cavity catheter produced less pain for patients; (2) intrathoracic cleansing and injection through three cavity catheter was convenient; (3) patients with pleural effusion treated with thoracic seal drainage by three cavity catheter should be given good mental care and catheter nursing. Three cavity catheter is easy to operate,quick,safe,reliable,convenient to manage in treating pleural effusion and is worth popularizing.
