Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of the center venous catheter in the closed thoracic drainage.Methods:50 patients with pleural effusion were given closed thoracic drainage with indwelling central venous catheter into thoracic cavity, and injecting chemotherapy drugs to thoracic cavity for the cases with malignant pleural effusion. Results:All the operations were finished successfully without complications,no obstruction during drainage. The cases with malignant pleural effusion were effectively controlled the occurrence of pleural effusion by injection of chemotherapy drugs. Conclusion:Central venous catheter closed drainage is easy to operate, safe, minimally invasive, and intracavitary administration is convenient and little adverse reaction. The effect is better.
