Abstract

Objective:To determine cut-off value of thyrotropin(TSH)for screening of congenital hypothyroidism(CH)of newborn in Hefei city,Hunan province.Methods:Heel blood samples were taken from the newborns born after 72 hours,and were dropped on the stipulated filter paper to determine concentration of thyrotropin(TSH)by using DELFIA method.Results:The cut-off value of thyrotropin(TSH)for screening of congenital hypothyroidism(CH)of newborn in Hefei city was 9.22 U/mL.Conclusion:The determination of TSH cut-off value of newborn provides a basis for screening of congenital hypothyroidism(CH)among the newborns in Hefei city.
