Abstract

Objective:To determine cut-off value of thyroid stimulation hormone(TSH) for screening of congenital hypothyroidism(CH) of newborn in Hubei province.Methods:Heel blood samples were taken from the newborns born after 72 hours,and were dropped on the stipulated filter paper to determine concentration of TSH by using dissociation enhanced lanthanide fluoroimmunoassay(DELFIA).Results:The cut-off value of TSH for screening of congenital hypothyroidism of newborn in Hubei province was 8.0μU /ml,according to the results of the analysis of newborns′heel blood 115 002 samples in two years.Conclusion:The determination of TSH cut-off value of newborn provides a basis for screening of congenital hypothyroidism among the newborns in Hubei province.
