A Research on Cut-off Value of Thyroid Stimulation Hormone(TSH) for Screening of Congenital Hypothyroidism(CH) Newborn in Shenyang City

Abstract
Objective:To determine cut-off value of thyroid stimulation hormone(TSH) for screening of congenital hypothyroidism(CH) of newborn in Shenyang city.Methods:Heel blood samples were taken from the newborns born after 72 hours,and were dropped on the stipulated filter paper to determine concentration of TSH by using dissociation enhanced lanthanide fluoroimmunoassay(DELFIA).Results:The cut-off value of TSH for screening of congenital hypothyroidism of newborn in Shenyang city was 9.0 μIU/ml,according to the results of the analysis of 41 907 newborns' heel blood sample.Conclusion:The determination of TSH cut-off value of newborn provides a basis for screening of congenital hypothyroidism among the newborns in Shenyang city.
