Clinical observation of Wei'an decoction in treatment of precancerous lesion of chronic atrophic gastritis

[Objective] To observe the therapeutic efficacy of self-formulated Wei'an decoction(WD) on precancerous lesion of chronic atrophic gastritis.[Methods] One hundred and two cases of chronic atrophic gastritis were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group(n=68,treated by oral administration of WD) and contral group(n=34,treated by oral administration of Weishu granules and Vitacoenzyme tablets).Changes of their clinical symptoms,the pathology of atrophy,intestinal metaplasia(IM),dysplasia(Dys) and pyloric helicobacterium(Hp) were observed before and after treatment.[Results] The clinical effective rate was 91.18 % in the treatment and 76.47 % in the control with significant difference between them(P0.05).Pathological exams showed that the effective rates of atrophy,IM,Dys were 66.18 %,67.92 %,67.74 % in the treatment group and 44.12 %,42.31 %,29.41 % in the control respectively,with significant difference between the two groups(all P0.05).The eliminating rate of Hp was 75.56 % in the treatment group and 58.33 % in the control,without significant difference between them(P0.05).[Conclusion]WD has definite effecacy on precancerous lesion of chronic atrophic gastritis.
