Intravascular interventional treatment for maxillofacial racemosm hemangioma

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To explore the value of intravascular interventional treatment of maxillofacial racemose hemangioma. METHODS Twenty-four patients with maxillofacial racemose hemangioma underwent selective angiography and complete filling embolization separately. RESULTS Among the 24 cases,8 patients were clinically cured,12 markedly improved,4 effective. The overall effective rate was 100 %. In 10 cases with preoperative embolization,the intraoperative bleeding decreased obviously. There were no severe complications during or after operation. CONCLUSION Selective angiography and embolization is an effective and safe therapeutic method for maxillofacial racemose hemangioma.
