Abstract

Objective To study the feasibility of digital subtraction angiography(DSA) and embolization in treatment of oral and maxillofacial hemangioma. Methods DSA and embolization were used in 9 cases with hemangioma in oral and maxillofacial regions before operation. Results The feeding arteries, affected areas and collecting veins could be clearly shown under DSA, and the bleeding decreased obviously in operation. No recurrence was observed in the follow-up from 3 months to 2 years. Conclusion The utilization of DSA and embolization has important clinical values.
