Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To establish the quality standard of Houshu capsules.METHODS: TLC was used to identify Atractylodes lancea,Panax notoginseng,Paeonia lactiflora and Crataegus pinnatifida. The content of magnolol and honokiol in Magnolia officinalis was determined by HPLC.RESULTS: TLC spots were clear without interference of negative substance. The linear range were 0.080~0.400 μg for magnolol and 0.048~0.240 μg for honokiol (r=0.999 9).The average recovery were 98.42% for magnolol (RSD=0.63%,n=6) and 98.34% for magnolol (RSD=0.90%,n=6).CONCLUSION: Established quality standard can be applied for the quality control of Houshu capsules.
