On the Problem of Transformation of College English Teachers' Qualities in the Newly-built Local Universities

Foreign language teaching is a very weak part in the newly-built local universities.How to rapidly complete the transformation from vocational English teaching to College English teaching to improve the qualities of College English teaching is an extremely important task for all English teachers.The author has mainly focused on five aspects,based on the transformation of the qualities of College English teachers such as the concept of teaching qualities,the concept of fostering talents,the concept of self-learning,the concept of teachers' professional moralities and the concept of scientific research to illustrate the systematic improvement of teachers' qualities.
