Abstract

College English teachers are the main part of college English teaching, whose qualities directly affect the improvement of college English teaching. With the deepening of the reform of college English teaching, the development of college English teachers' professional qualities brooks no delay. This paper mainly discusses college English teachers' professional development from the aspects of its connotations, present development situation and restrictions and consequently puts forward effective strategies on improving college English teachers' professional development.
