Abstract
Objective To establish high fat diet induced obesity in male SD rat model of nutrition.Method For 40 SD male rats produced by D12492 prescription high-fat,high-calorie foods to limit feeding,2 weeks later excluded from obesity resistant rats,and the remaining rats were randomly divided into 2 groups,the normal control group fed normal diet,high fat diet group were given high fat diet for 4 weeks,observation of body weight,Lee′s index.Fat when fed 8 weeks 24 h fasting blood serum was separated after anesthesia,the liver homogenate preparation,taking body fat weight and fat index calculated by automatic biochemical analyzer in serum total cholesterol and liver lipid(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) levels,and in the normal group were compared.Results High fat feeding for 4 weeks,the high-fat diet group weighed(299.3±17.74) g,while the normal weight group only(202.8±9.14) g,Lee′s index of high-fat group compared with the normal group was significant(P0.001);while the fat rats with high fat diet wet weight,fat mass,serum TC,TG,LDL-C and liver fat TC,TG were significantly higher than the normal group(P0.05,P0.01,P0.001).Conclusion This study successfully established by feeding high fat diet nutrition obesity model in rats,modeling the cost savings,while significantly increased serum and liver TC,TG levels,resulting in animals with hyperlipidemia and fatty liver,obesity and associated with concurrent human clinical disease is quite similar to human nutrition research for the common obesity and hyperlipidemia associated with fatty liver provides an ideal animal model.
