Abstract

Objective To observe the influence in high fat diet in diet-induced rat. Methods Rats of model group were fed with high fat diet for 6 weeks. Then, the weight and Lees index, height were measured and compared with those of normal group. Results The weight of model group rats were 305.50±21.21g.Those of the normal control group were 235.00±17.86 g. There was significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).The fat of abdomen and the weight of liver were also significantly increased in model group(P0.05). Conclusion The high fat diet can induce obesity. The high fat diet composed of 12% pork fat and 18% total tallow had obvious effect of inducing obesity.
