Experience in the diagnosis and treatment of 187 cases with closed abdominal trauma

Abstract
Objective To study the diagnosis,treatment of closed abdominal trauma and how to reduce its death rate. Methods From January 1998 to December 2003,187cases with closed abdominal trauma were retrospectively analyzed.Among them,78 cases were single organ injuray,109 cases were multiple organ injuries or associated with important system injury. Nonoperative treatment was in 11 cases. 176 cases underwent operative treatment. Result 178 cases were cured.9 cases died. Conclusion The keys to treat the closed abdominal trauma are in time to make a correct diagnosis, early anti-shock,reasonable management of multiple injuries.
