Abstract
The cytogenetic damage of Vcia faba caused by four detergents were studied by micronulei test technique. The results showed that detergents caused mieronuelei and chromosome aberration. Micronucleus frequencies (MNF) of V.faba root tips of the four test groups were significantly higher than those of control groups. The order of cytogenetic toxicities of four detergents was as follows: LBCHQQDP. MNF and mitotic index (MI) of different content detergents significantly differed. Within certain range of content, MNF increased with the increase of detergent contents, and decreased after the highest content. Cell karyokinesis of V.faba root tip cells could be promoted at low contents, and be restrained at high contents.
