Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of ziprasidone combined with sertraline on negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Methods The patients with negative symptoms of schizophrenia treated in Loudi central hospital from January 2011 to 2012 were randomly divided into two groups, the patients in control group were treated with ziprasidone, while the patients in observation group were given ziprasidone combined with sertraline, the clinical efficacy and adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 85. 96%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group( 64. 40%),P 0. 05; The total scores of PANSS in the two groups after treatment significantly reduced than before, and the observation group decreased more significantly( P 0. 05); There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion Ziprasidone combined with sertraline can significantly alleviate the negative symptoms of schizophrenia, and it has few adverse reactions, has good compliance, and it is worth to be promoted and applied in clinics.
