Abstract

Objective: To establish a HPLC method for determination of emodin and chrysophanol in granules for relieving inflammation in women( Fukexiaoyanlinghao granule). Methods: The quantification was performed by HPLC consisted of a Hypersil ODS2 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm) , an elu-ate of methanol-0. 1% phosphoric acid(83: 17) and a UV detector at 254 nm. Results; The linearity of emodin and chrysophanol concentrations curves has in a range of 0. 04 - 0. 45μg ( r = 0. 999 9 ) and 0. 04 - 0. 48μg(r =0. 999 9) ,respectively. The mean recovery rate of the emodin and chrysophanol was 100. 21% - 101. 45% ( RSD 0. 18% - 1. 2% ) versus 95. 50% - 95. 95% ( RSD 0. 18% - 0. 70% ). Conclusion: The simple and reliable HPLC method can be used for quality control of Fukexiaoyanlinghao granule.
