Quality Control on Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in Qianliening Granule

Abstract

Objective To establish the HPLC method in the determination of emodin and chrysophanol in Qianliening granule.Methods The contents of emodin and chrysophanol were determined by Shimadzu LC-10A and the separation was performed on Shimadzu C18(4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm) with mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid solution(75:25) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL.min-1,and the detective wavelength was 254 nm.Results The linear range of emodin was 0.01803~0.9016 μg(r=0.99992),and chrysophanol was 0.01198~0.5992 μg(r=0.99993).The average recovery of emodin and chrysophanol were 98.04% and 97.74% respectively,and the RSD were 0.75% and 0.62% respectively.Conclusion The method shows good separation effect,accuracy,reproducibility and quick analytical speed,can be used for the quality control of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in Qianliening Granule.
