Abstract
Objective To study clinical significance of examining serum total bile acids(TBA) in diagnosis of cerrbral vascular diseases. Methods The sera TBA and blood lipid levels were measured in 29 cases of cerrbral infarction,26 cases cerrbral hemorrhage and 30 cases non cardiocerebral vasculer diseases by enzyme method. Results Compared with the cortrol group and cerrbral hemorrhage patients, the sera TBA levels were significantly higher in patients with cerebral infarction, (t=6.78,3.40,P0.01). TBA levels in patients with cerrbral hemorrhage were also signifcantly higher than those in control group.(t=3.87,P0.01).Conclusion Cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage showed positive correlation with serum TBA level,so examining TBA level could be useful for the differential diagnosis between cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage.
