Abstract

Objective To investigate the situation of anxietydepression and some related factors in heart failure patients. Methods Self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)were distributed to the 89 heart failure patients. The baseline characteristics and the relationship between the SAS and SDS scores was analysed. Results Out of the 89 heart failure patients32.6%had anxiety and 34.8%had depression.A statistic significance was found among NYHA class、diabetes、atria fibrillation, and levels of C reactive protein(hsCRP)、left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)versus the scores of SAS、SDS.Conclusion This study finds a high prevalence of anxiety and depression in heart failure patients and more attention needs to be paid in order to improve their quality of life.
