Abstract
Objective To investigate depressive conditions and therapeutic methods on the patients with maintenace hemodialysis.Methods 58 patients with maintenance hemodialysis were evaluated by the Zung's Depression Scale,and causes of depression were analyzed.Results Among 58 patients with maintenance hemodialysis,42 cases(72.4 %) had depressive disorder.The incidence of depression was not associated with sexuality,ages and educationalbackground,but with the times of hemodialysis,satisfaction of care from the family,economic status and health care cost.Conclusions Staff should analyze causes of depression and make use of active effective intervention for improving the quality of hemodialysis,reducing adverse effect prolonging the patients' lifetime.
