Objective To assess the health-related quality of life in maintenance hemodialysis patients and to identify its infulence factors. Methods 72 cases of maintenance hemodialysis patients were assessed with short form 36 health survey questionnaire(SF-36),self-rating depression scale(SDS) and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS).The influence of gender, financial status, education levels, depression and anxiety on quality of life were evaluated in maintenance hemodialysis patients. Results All scores of the eight scales of SF-36 in maintenance hemodialysis patients were significantly lower than those in general population of Sichuan Province(P0.01).46 patients(63.89%)were in depression and 39 patients(54.17%) were in anxiety.Financial status, education levels, depression and anxiety significantly influenced the physical component summary(PCS) and mental component summary(MCS) in maintenance hemodialysis patients(P0.05).Gender showed no significant influence on quality of life(P0.05).Conclusion The quality of life in maintenance hemodialysis patients was significantly lowered.Bad financial status, ill education levels, depression and anxiety showed negative infulence on quality of life in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
