Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship between G10631A polymorphism in the renin gene and cerebral infarction. Methods: The polymorphism was genotyped among 82 cases and 89 controls by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).Results: The frequencies of AA genotype and A allele in cases were significantly higher than in controls(P0.05).Conclusion: The AA genotype and A allele of G10631A polymorphism in the renin gene might be susceptibility factors for cerebral infarction.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
