Abstract

Objective:To study the effect of ZhangSiYiWei decoction on serum levels of EGF,VEGF,FGFand TGF-a in rats with gastric ulcers. Methods:The gastric ulcer model was established by dropping acetic acid on the stomach surface. The rats were randomly divided into different groups:the normal control group, the model group, the herb group and the group of western medicine. All of these rats were treated with different medicines for 14 days. Then, the quantitative detection was done to see the changes of content of EGF,VEGF,bFGF and TGF-a in the gastric mucous. Results:Compared with the normal control group,EGF,VEGF,bFGF and TGF-a content in ZhangSiYiWei decoction group increased significantly(P 0.05,P 0.01).Conclusion:ZhangSiYiWei decoction promotes the healing of damaged mucosa through regulating the content of EGF,VEGF,bFGF and TGF-a,which is possibly part of the mechanism in healing the gastric mucosa.
