Abstract
Objective To observe the action of xiaojianzhong decoction on anti-gastric aging.Methods 45 senile Wistar rats were divided randomly into blank group,model group and xiaojianzhong decoction group,15 rats in each one.Except blank group,the rats in the rest groups were prepared into aged model with the intraperitoneal injection of 10% D-galactose(140 mg·kg-1·d-1).While modeling in xiaojianzhong decoction group,the gastric infusion with xiaojianzhong decoction was applied.8 weeks later,SOD activity and MDA content of gastric mucosa and liver tissue were detected in rats of each group.The rat thymus,spleen and stomach were removed and weighted,and the organ index was calculated.Results After medication,the organ index of spleen,stomach and thymus of rats in xiaojianzhong decoction group increased significantly,indicating statistical significant difference as compared with model group(P0.01).In xiaojianzhong decoction group,SOD activity of gastric mucosa and liver tissue increased and MDA content decreased,indicating statistical significant difference as compared with model group(P0.05).Conclusion Xiaojianzhong decoction acts on anti-oxidation,removal of free radicals,repair of gastric mucosal injury and others and has a certain effect on delaying gastric aging.
