Effect of Hezhongxiaokui Decoction on EGF Expression of Rats Gastric Ulcer Induced by Acetic Acid

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of Hexhongxiaokui Decoction on EGF expression of rat gastric ulcer induced by acetic acid.Methods:80 male SD rats were divided into 4 groups at random,named groupA(normal control group),B(model group),C(treated with Hexhongxiaokui Decoction),D(treated with Lizhudele).Except group A,animal model of gastric ulcer in rat was set up with the modified Okabe's method.5d later,rats(groupB,C,D)had being given peroral administration of above-mentioned medicine or normal saline one time every day for 15d.15d after medicine administration,the scars of ulcer tissue were made into slices,then examined the protein expression of EGF by immunohistochemistry.Meanwhile,after HE dyeing and PAS dyeing the slice separately were observed the healing condition of the ulcer,measured the thickness of regenerative mucosa to compare the differences between them.Results:The thickness of regenerative mucosa and the expression of mucosal EGF in group C and D was significantly increased in comparison with those in group B.Compared with group D,the thickness of regenerative mucosa and the expression of mucosal EGF in group C was significantly increased.Conclusions:Hexhongxiaokui Decoction can strengthen the expression of EGF of stomach tissue significantly.It's mechanism of promoting healing of the ulcer may relate to increasing of the expression of EGF of stomach tissue.
