Clinical Research on Hyperthyroidism of Yin Deficiency and Yang Hyperactivity Pattern Treated with Zhibai Dihuang Pill Combined with Free-Wandering Pill

Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Zhibai Dihuang Pill combined with Free-Wandering Pill on hyperthyroidism of yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity pattern. Methods: 80 cases with hyperthyroidism of yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity pattern received by this hospital in recent years were selected as study objects and randomized into treatment group and control group,with 40 cases in each group. Control group were given Methimazole for the treatment while treatment group were given Zhibai Dihuang Pill combined with Free-Wandering Pill. After 8 weeks( a treatment course) of continuous treatment,the clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results: The cured and markedly effective rate of treatment group( 95. 0%) was obviously higher than that of control group( 80. 0%)( P 0. 05). The TCM symptoms and the levels of serum FT3 and FT4 in both groups got markedly improved after the treatment( P 0. 05),and the improvement in treatment group was greater than that in control group at the same period( P 0. 05),with statistical significance. Conclusion: Zhibai Dihuang Pill combined with FreeWandering Pill has satisfactory therapeutic effects on hyperthyroidism of yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity pattern.
