Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Zhibai Dihuang Pill combined with Yunnan Baiyao Powder on recurrent oral ulceration( ROU) of syndrome of yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity. Methods: 118 cases with Rou received by this hospital from February of 2013 to April of 2015 were randomized into control group and observation group, with 59 cases in each group.Control group were simply given Yunnan Baiyao Powder on the surface of the wound for three times a day,and once before sleep at night. Treatment group were added with Zhibai Dihuang Pill for continuous use of 7 days. The clinical efficacies of the two groups were compared and the changes of relevant indexes were observed. Results: The effective rate was 91. 5% in observation group, obviously higher than that in control group; the difference had statistical significance( P 0. 05). The improvements in the ulcer area and number of the ulcers in observation group were apparently better than these in control group. The time for the disappearance of the ulcer in observation group was shortened greatly when compared with that in control group; the difference had statistical significance( P 0. 05). The levels of T cell subsets of CD3 +,CD4 + and CD4 + / CD8 + in observation group increased significantly when compared with that in control group while the level of CD8 + declined obviously; the difference had statistical significance( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Zhibai Dihuang Pill combined with Yunnan Baiyao Powder has remarkable therapeutic effects on ROU of syndrome of yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity.
