Abstract
In order to exploit and utilize R.corchorifolius resources efficiently, the orthogonal experimental design was done to screen the optimum extraction method of total flavonoids from its stem bark. The contents of total flavonoids and its capability of ABTS and DPPH scavenging free radical was tested by spectrophotometry. Results:The conditions to extract the highest total flavonoids 28.811mg/g were:60% alcohol(v/v)solution,the ratio of material to solution was 1∶30,refluxing at 80℃for 4h.And it was also concluded that ABTS and DPPH was more easily removed by flavonoids than BHT,and further more the IC50 values of ABTS and DPPH was lower than BHT.All above revealed that the extraction of total flavonoids in its stem bark have the ability of resistance to oxidation and may be an natural antioxidant.
