On Preparation for Interpreting from the Perspective of Daniel Gile’s Effort Models

Preparation is pivotal to interpretation,and also the basic skill required for an interpreter.It consists of short-term preparation and long-term preparation.Based on the Effort Models proposed by Daniel Gile,the author introduces the preparation for interpreting from the perspective of linguistic knowledge,interpreting skills,cognitive knowledge and nonverbal element,which will lay good foundation for being a qualified interpreter.
