Abstract
With the ever-growing demand for interpreters in the society, teaching of interpretation in the universities is now in vogue. For interpretation learners, it is indispensable to understand interpreting theory before they are involved in interpreting practice. This paper intends to introduce basic knowledge and skills of interpretation in terms of working model, skill training and the requirements for a qualified interpreter.
