Abstract
This paper discusses the mathematics thought and methods must be a common language game in order to reach a consensus,define them correctly.From the inspection of teaching purposes,the both should be the knowledge,the cognitive tools and thinking modes.Watching from the general knowledge,they are the procedural knowledge,characterizing the cognitive skills.Discussing the distinction between the mathematical methods and mathematical thought——belonging to the of wisdom skills and the of cognitive strategy.Pointing out that each has two forms including technical knowledge and practical .The current teaching is lack of the links,changing from the technical knowledge into the practice knowledge.
