Abstract
The Schiff base derived from 2-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and m-aminobenzoicacid was synthesized.The title compound was characterized by IR,UV spectra,elemental analysis.The crystal structure of Schiff base have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.The crystal belongs to monoclinic,space group P2(1)/c with a=1.165 4(4) nm,b=0.746 5(2) nm,c=1.626 4(5) nm,α=90°,β=106.665°,γ=90°,Z=4,V=1.355 5(8) nm3,Dc=1.427 0 g/cm3,μ=0.098 0 mm-1,F(000)=608,R=0.046 7 and wR=0.108 0.
