Clinical significance of TIMP-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9's expression in colorectal carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significances of TIMP-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9's expression in colorectal carcinoma.Methods TIMP-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were detected in 50 cancer samples and 10 normal tissues by immunohistochemistry SP method.Results The expressions of TIMP-1,MMP-2 and MMP-2 were significantly lower in normal tissue than those in colorectal carcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion TIMP-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 are significantly correlative with different clinicopathological parameters in colorectal carcinoma.TIMP-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 may be molecules markers of invasion and metastasis in colorectal carcinoma.
