Genetic counseling cytogenetic analysis in 7925 cases

Objective To show the impaction of chromosomal abnormalities on abortion,mental retardation,primary amenorrhea by chromosome exam.Methods Peripheral blood cultivation and G-banding of chromosome analysis of 7,925 genetic consultant cases were made.Results Abnormalities of euchromosome 172(2.17%);sex chromosome 49(0.62%);totally 221 cases(2.78%)have been found in 7925 cases,of which 13 abnormality karyotypes are first reported.Conclusion Chromosomal abnormality is the main factor that causes spontaneous abortion,teratogenic,mental retardation,female primary amenorrhea.
