Abstract
Objective To debate the relationship between severity of homocysteine( HCY) and coronary atherosclerotic heart disease( CHD) patients as well as their different clinical types. Methods Serum HCY level of 42 cases with CHD in observation group and 20 cases in control group were detected by enzymatic cycling method. Results CHD group had high concentration of Hcy than control group( P 0. 01). So did the Hcy in patients with AMD than patients with UAP,as well as patients with UAP than patients with SAP( P 0. 01).There was no statistic significance between two groups with or without risk factors( P 0. 05). Conclusion HCY is an independent risk factor for CHD. The more serious of the condition is,the higher of Hcy levels are. HCY may have direct relationship with the genesis and development of CHD. Detecting the Hcy level will have great significance in preventing and reducing the occurrence of CHD.
