Abstract

Objective To debate the severity of homocysteine(Hcy)and coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD)ass well as their associativity of risk factor related to Hcy and CHD.Methods Serum Hcy level in group of 36 cases with CHD and control group of 36 cases were detected by enzymatic cycling assay. Results CHD group had high concentration of Hcy than control group(P0.01).So did the Hcy in patients with AMD than patients with UAP,as well as patients with UAP than patients with SAP(P0.01).There is great significance in Hcy consentration between two group with the same risk factors(P0.01).There is no statistic significance between two group with or without risk factors(P0.05).Conclusion Hcy is an independent risk factor for CHD,the more serious of condition, the higher of Hcy levels.Hcy may have direct relationship with the genesis and development of CHD.Detecting the Hcy level will have great significance in preventing and reducing the occurrence of CHD.
