Abstract

Objective To study the features of multi-slice CT (MSCT) perfusion images in acute pancreatitis (AP). Methods Forty-four cases of normal pancreas and 23 cases of AP underwent CT perfusion imaging. The mean values of blood flow (BF), blood volume (BV), mean transit time (MTT) and permeability surface (PS) were measured on AW 4.1 workstation with perfusion 3 software package. Results The mean values of normal pancreas group were: BF (174.77±75.62) ml/(100 g·min), BV (15.62±3.39) ml/100 g, MTT (7.45±2.82) s, PS (14.01±9.20) ml/(100 g·min). The values in AP group were: BF (101.50±49.50) ml/(100 g·min), BV (8.86±3.08) ml/100 g, MTT (8.31±3.06) s, PS (21.61±9.38) ml/(100 g·min). There was statistically significance (P0.01) between the two groups besides MTT (P 0.05 ). Conclusion Blood perfusion value decreased significantly in AP. CT perfusion imaging provided more information of AP for clinical diagnosis.
