Abstract

Objective To analyse and summarize the characteristics and application of electrocardiograhy in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of acute pulmonary embolism. Methods The 53 cases with pulmonary embolism confirmed in our hospital in the past 6 years choosed for analyzing the electrocardiogram and comparing respectively its features prior to the treatment with those posterior to the treatment. Results The ratio of electrocardiographic changes in the patients with pulmonary embolism reached to 98.14%,in which nodal tachycardia ECG was the most common(accounted for 77.35%) and ST-T changes ECG was followed(ST change was 64.15% and T change was 62.26%).The cases with typical features of SⅠQⅢTⅢ occupied 22.64%,peaked P wave 7.55%,right branch block 18.87%,R wave to the end in aVR lead 28.30%.Compared with the original electrocardiograms, the dynamic changes in the above items occurred after the patients accepted thrombolytic and anticoagulant therapy. Conclusion Although the sensitivity and speciality of every feature is not good enough to diagnosis or differential diagnosis, dynamic observation of ECG is of great significance to the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism.
