Abstract

Objective To develop a HPLC method for the determination of oxymatrine. Method We used a RP-HPLC method with Shim-pack VP-ODS column (5 μm, 4.6 mm×200 mm), and the mobile phase was the mixture of methanol-water acetic acid glacial (80∶20∶1) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min -1 . The column temperature was 30℃, the UV detection wavelength was 220 nm. Result The callbration curve was linear (r=0.999 8) in the range of (10.1~50.7)μg·mL -1 for oxymatrine. The mean recovery was 100.2%. Conclusion This method was simple, selective and reproducible for the determination of oxymatrine in oxymatrine capsule.
