Eileen Chang had achieved brilliant achievements in literary creation., But her position in Chinese modern history of literature is still ambiguous even unfair. Actually Eileen Chang 's tragedy creation has irreplaceable value in Chinese modern history of literature. The May 4 New Literature, especially Lu Xun's tragedy, and the Chinese classical masterpiece the Story of the Stone can be references to help find out the distinctiveness of Eileen Chang 's tragedy creation. Eileen Chang 's tragedy creation not only is inheritance of Chinese tradition,but also is transcendence of both The May 4 New Literature tragedy and the western modernistic tragedy.
