Abstract
Objective To study the cholestasis in neonates with pathologic jaundice or physiologic jaundice. Methods The levels of total bile acid(TBA) were measured in the control group(37 cases),in the group of physiologic jaundice(36 cases),and in the group of pathologic jaundice(156 cases). Results The level of TBA in the control group was lower than in the pathologic jaundice group. The difference was significant(P0.01).There existed no statistical significance between the levels of TBA of the control group and the physiologic group(P0.05).Conclusion Cholestasis probably exists in neonates with pathologic jaundice.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
